About this spot

The larger of two water-supply reservoirs on upper Evitts Creek in southern Bedford County, Pennsylvania — 268 acres owned by the Evitts Creek Water Company that supply the city of Cumberland, MD, yet remain open to public fishing. A quality panfish water: black crappie, yellow perch, and bluegill, with largemouth bass along the timbered shoreline. Shore and pier fishing plus non-powered and electric-motor boats.

Pennsylvania water — PA Fish & Boat Commission regulations and a PA license apply even though the lake supplies Cumberland, MD. Electric motors only; no gas engines. A water-supply reservoir, so access is a privilege — pack out everything.
